Castle Church Brewing Community (Orlando, FL) is the first spiritual community to own a craft brewery, and this shapes everything from our governing vision to our day to day practices. As we upgrade to a 10.5K SQFT brewhouse and taproom with a 20BBL brewing system, we seek to create a work environment that is high on employee buy-in and investment. Castle Church is searching for a brewer who can demonstrate the skill level required to execute on beer production with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. We are looking for an individual who will take our commitment to crafting high character, soulful beers from the German tradition, and combine it with their own personality and passion.
Our full brewhouse will be in the construction phase until mid-March, meaning there is opportunity for brewer input on setup preferences, inventory planning, etc. We will initially brew for taproom needs through grand opening but expect to be adding a canning line and running distribution by months 6-12. The right candidate would have experience with upstart and/or rapid growth. We look to develop a stellar reputation for our compensation and investment in our employees. Our salary, benefits, and continuing ed package will reflect that. Formal training at an accredited brewing school is preferred. Candidates with both formal education and experience will get priority. Candidates should have demonstrable work experience in all aspects of the brewing process, from grain to tap. TAproom Manager

Castle Church Brewing Community is searching for a taproom manager with impeccable people skills and considerable front of house experience, who understands that hospitality is at the core of everything that we do. From the more concrete aspects of day to day management to the less tangible qualities like warmth and leadership, this would be someone, who tends to become a respected role model with their staff, who takes pride in creating a welcoming environment, and who knows how to work through staff to achieve outcomes.
Our taproom manager will be the directors’ right hand and primary point of contact for all things front of house, staff management and performance, efficiency of service, inventory and facility management. If it’s not too burdensome of a job for you, we would like you to taste our craft for free at a professional level. Castle Church is picking a team of 25 tasters for our official tasting panel. Yes, this is a real thing. Beer tasters are key in helping Castle Church ensure the highest quality control and assurance for our core beer lineup, and in perfecting and launching new products. A successful candidate will join the panel on designated projects as they taste, discuss, and pass opinion on a range of different beers. Our tasting panel has epic events each quarter. Yes, this could just be the best gig around.
What we’re looking for
- A passionate beer lover who can provide honest and objective feedback on different beer styles
- Tastebuds for detection and an expert knowledge of alcoholic beverages and the difference between beers and their ingredients. Do you know your Pale Ale from your IPA, chocolate malt from dark malt, Fuggles from Cascade hops?
- A strong team player, who will be able to build relationships and work collaboratively with a team of other tasters and experts
- Provide consistent, informed results and feedback.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for beer and taste buds that match
- An understanding of consumer markets and craft beer trends
- Versed in the terminology and vocabulary of beer
